Tom Johnson, a coarse angler from Long Buckby, has built a free fishing app called Synced Lines in his spare time. It's named for him and his brother Will.
The app lets anglers log a whole day's session at a fishery and see what's catching at each venue, without giving away their spot. It also has a "why I fish" journal, because, Tom says, "most of us don't go for the fish. We go for the quiet, the mates and a few hours away from a screen."
The app is in a free pre-launch waitlist at https://www.google.com/url?q=http://syncedlines.com&source=gmail&ust=1791903352671000&sa=E, and Tom is signing up local anglers and clubs around Northamptonshire before launch. He is happy to be photographed at a local water.
