Northamptonshire and Kettering residents report the smell of gas more than 13 times a day

For Gas Safety Week (14 – 20 September), Cadent, the UKs largest gas distribution network, is shining a light on one of the industry’s most unusual but vital roles - a specialist team trained to ‘smell gas’ to ensure the odourant levels are correct for public safety.
